John Ed Belvin has been in the ticket business for over 35 years. He specializes in Alabama Football tickets. He was the first licensed ticket broker in the state of Alabama. John Ed was even featured in Warren St. John’s book Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer.
John Ed’s love for sports started when he was 12 years old, playing Little League Baseball in Centerville, Alabama. His teammate was Butch Hobson who went on to be the 3rd basemen for the Boston Red Sox from 1975 to 1980. Later, John Ed played on the Bibb County High School State Champions team with Charles Cleveland who was an All-SEC Guard at the University of Alabama from 1973 to 1975.
John Ed attended the Unversity of Alabama where he was a student manager for the football team from 1970 to 1972, under the leadership of the legendary Coach Paul Bear Bryant. During his time with the athlete department, John Ed got his first taste for the ticket business. Friends and family were constantly calling him to find them tickets to the games. After years of hunting down tickets for people John Ed decided to make a business out of it and opened his first ticket company.
John Ed’s sports career continued from 1971 to 1982 when he played fast pitch softball. He was inducted into the West Alabama Softball Hall of Fame in 1998. Now you can find him in Bryant Denny Stadium for all the Tide’s home football games and in Coleman Coliseum during basketball season cheering Bama on!
John Ed has been happily married to Brenda Belvin for 11 years. He enjoys hiking, cycling, traveling to Yellowstone National Park, telling stories about his time at the University, and talking football.
Candice Carden has been in the ticket business for over 10 years. She has exprience not only in Alabama football, but with many national events. She has had a passion for sports as long as she can remember, and was born a Crimson Tide fan. She attended the University of Alabama where she was a Bama Belle for the University's football department. Candice has a master's degree in Sports Management.
Candice hasn't missed an Alabama home football game in 14 years. She fell in love with Tuscaloosa in college and decided to start a family here. She has been married to Matthew Carden for 6 years. Matthew is also a sports enthusiast and coaches football at a local high school in Tuscaloosa. They have 2 boys, 4 year-old, Dax and 2 year-old, Jude. The Cardens enjoy games, movies, sports, beach trips, and are actively involved in their church.
